Mac on Ice at the MacArthur Center (check for 2018-2019 season)

MacArthur Center kicks off the 13th season of ice skating at the coolest place in town. Whether it’s a family tradition or a first date, the center’s 7, 200-square-foot outdoor ice rink is the place for good times this winter. Throughout the season, enjoy public skating sessions, ice hockey clinics, figure skating exhibitions and more. Those new to the ice or feeling a bit rusty can sign up for private lessons or get a helping hand from skate guards on-site.

Skate under the stars and enjoy a magical snowfall every night!

Location
The ice skating rink is located just outside MacArthur Center, at the corner of Monticello Avenue and Freemason Street.
Dates of Operation
November 18, 2017 through January 15, 2018
WEATHER PERMITTING – Ice skating rink may be closed without notice due to heavy rain, if there is lightning in the area, or unforeseen mechanical issues.
Admission & Pricing
Regular admission is $7 for skating, $7 for skate rental. All prices include tax.
Military Discount
Military personnel and their family members (must show valid military ID to receive discount) receive $1 off the admission price.

The rink also offers the following specials and special events:

Magic Snowfall (Mondays-Saturdays: 6pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm; Sundays: 6pm and 7pm)
DJ Saturdays
Student Skate Nights ($2 off admission with valid high school or college ID)
Date Night Skate Night (two tickets to skate and two hot chocolates for $25 on Wednesdays)

MacArthur Center, located on Monticello Avenue in downtown Norfolk, features one million square feet of retail offerings, including Hampton Roads’ first Nordstrom and the region’s flagship Dillard’s department store. Entertainment and dining options occupy approximately 25 percent of the tenant mix. Shopping hours are 10 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday, noon to 6 pm Sunday.
